Comments: Why is it that SPARC testing helps 435 and the legitimate ham community then there are alleged SPARC members going rogue and willfully disrupting 435 transmissions. Are SPARC and 435 sworn adversaries or a loosely formed joint venture? I opt for the latter if possible. Please elaborate. I am suspect of any cohesion between the two repeaters. We know with great confidence that Mr. Bly will not be handing over the reigns of 435 anytime soon. Those outside the information circle need not worry about that. 435 ownership/management will remain constant. Comments: We are testing a couple of models with MDC codes on the repeater to adjust the vhf side. I want to thank K6mwt for his recent contact with us about the repeater. I cannot elaborate exactly what is being planned per agreement with Roger Bly. However, I can state that the constant disruptions will be something in the past and the repeater will be open for all licensed hams to enjoy. The MDC code testing will not disrupt any conversations and all you will hear is the squawk of the MDC code. The idea is to use MDC ID codes to identify legit users in fm mode and have them cross reference to a I.E.N embedded number. During times of heavy repeater jamming the repeater can be placed into a mode where fm emissions with proper MDC coding will be ack but those that do not contain any code to be blocked from the input side. We are also in the process of setting up a digital p25 link that can be operated in a change mode state to coordinate repeater issues. Hopefully , Roger will want a permanent p25 capability in the future. We have already mentioned some of this to those of you that talk on our repeater system. We had a conversation with Darin jones about the p25 system a few weeks back. Most of you have told Roger and our group you think this is a good idea More discussions will be at burning ham next month. We cannot discuss any sale or control operator questions here or on-air out of respect to roger's request for privacy. All in all the repeater will have digital. Possible 220 and another 900mhz link operational. We cannot improve 435 unless we first take care of abuse and disruptions to the systems. This technical assist is being done on good faith and free of charge to help unite both user groups. In addition, the MDC squawks and testing will be done during periods of no conversations or only during heavy jamming periods to test out the projected operational status. ---SPARC
