Comments: I love to lie that I never jam but the reality is that I am one of the biggest jammers in SoCal. I now go so far as to jam all night long on the W6CDW repeater. Hams can no longer use low power stations or handhelds and are forced to use high power and directional repeaters to key up on 144.895 My technique is one I still hit 435 and SPARC with: a modest strength carrier a bit off the center of the input frequency, with no PL and overmodulated with a 2kHz tone. I use a loaner IFR to generate the jamming signal. Signals that are of lesser signal strength cannot key the repeater. Signals of slightly greater strength will have a brief tail of 2KHz tone at unkeying but will have difficulty holding the squelch open Strong signals will completely overcome the jamming. My cute jamming signal has been heard by users of W6CDW but they are too stupid or drunk to put 2 and 2 together. Many of them have left to use other repeaters. I can't prove it but I am being harassed on the 145.440 repeater by someone who will not let me talk, my husband has been threatened on 146.700 by someone talking to w6rjs who said he was going to come over to my house and break my husbands cane over his head. My husband is a blind ham operator. That is how I got into the hobby myself. While on my way to work one day I was following behind a gentlemen who was going only 10 mph. I was worried that something must be wrong and called on my radio for my husband who was at home to call the police and I gave my location so this person could be checked out. I continued to follow him when he ended up at his home I asked him If he was o.k. He was elderly and he said he was ok. I tell you this to let you know why I am a ham radio operator. I'm glad the gentlemen was ok. But if he wasn't I was ready with my ham radio to assist. On New Years Eve two years ago I worked at a party serving food at 1:00am when I was on my way to my parents who by the way live in Cerritos. I was being followed and a man in an SUV tried to run me off the road twice luckily I had my ham radio and keyed up to tell whoever could hear me what was happening and my location. Six police cars showed up to my rescue. I am not harrassing 146.700 repeater and I wish w6rjs would stop harassing me. I can only speak for myself so that is what I am doing. I don't know what could be done if anything but why should w6rjs be allowed to harass me on a daily and I do mean daily basis with his lies and foul mouth using my call sign.
